  • MATCH SUMMARY
    • Set One
      • The opening set was close in the early going as a 3-1 Drovers run tied it at five before a Hanna Foecker kill ignited a six-unanswered run by the Evangels, as a kill from the right side by Maddie Callicoat gave MACU an 11-5 edge.
      • Mid-America Christian extended its lead to 13-6 before Science & Arts came storming back, scoring on seven of the next nine rallies to trim the MACU advantage down to 15-13.
      • A dump kill by Lena Stockhammer followed by three Foecker kills during a 4-1 run allowed MACU to extend its lead back out to five before USAO notched a pair of kills from Samiya West to bring it back to 19-16.
      • The Evangels ended the set with a powerful streak, scoring five of the final six points following a Drovers service error as Foecker's ninth kill of the set ended it for a 25-17 win.
    • Set Two
      • Science & Arts grabbed the momentum to start the second set by tallying six of the first nine points before the Evangels swung back with three in a row, getting kills from Cloie Mitchell, Callicoat and Vanessa Moreira to draw it back even at 6-6.
      • The Drovers briefly reclaimed the lead after the Evangels committed a pair of errors, but MACU got back on-track in a big way, as a Callicoat kill jumpstarted a string of five straight to make it an 11-8 MACU advantage.
      • USAO briefly thwarted the run by taking two of the next three rallies, but the Evangels once again surged for four straight as a Moreira service ace pushed the edge out to 16-10.
      • The Drovers clawed their way back, outscoring MACU 8-5 over the next 13 rallies, but a Mitchell kill allowed the Evangels to finish strong by taking the final four points. The Evangels capped it on back-to-back Foecker kills to secure the 25-18 win.
    • Set Three
      • The Evangels and Drovers battled evenly through the first 10 rallies once again before MACU grabbed the advantage with a 7-2 run wrapped up on a Mitchell kill to bring the score to 12-7, forcing USAO to call a timeout.
      • Science & Arts briefly stopped MACU as a service error out of the break brought serve back to the Drovers, but MACU responded with a nearly unstoppable run, scoring 11 of the next 13 points to put the set out of reach at 23-10.
      • The Drovers scored three of the next four to try to cut into the MACU lead, but it ended up being insurmountable as an attack error on the final rally gave the Evangels the 25-13 victory.
