However, with two outs, Amanda Moreno smacked a single up the middle to score both runners and give the Drovers a 2-0 lead.

  • The Evangels scored all of their runs in the first inning before holding on over the final six innings to get the win.
  • Regan Martin got the complete game victory to move to 10-6 in the circle this season. Martin is now the only Evangels pitcher since the program joined the NAIA in 2008 to record at least 10 wins in three different seasons after notching 14 in 2018 and 16 in 2019.
  • Her sister Kassie Martin also became the second Evangels player this season to reach 20 RBIs.

  • By getting the win over the Drovers, Mid-America Christian became the only team this season to defeat the third-ranked team in the NAIA twice. The Evangels spoiled history for the Drovers in their last meeting in Chickasha, Okla. on Mar. 9 as MACU came away with a 3-2 win to snap USAO's 33-game win streak and 57-game home win streak.
  • The Evangels split the four-game season series to the powerhouse USAO program for the first time since 2010 when MACU won a pair at Jack Allen Field before dropping both games of the doubleheader in Chickasha.
