  • MATCH SUMMARY

      • After giving up back-to-back points, the Evangels rattled off four of the next five, capping the run on an Allison Porter kill to give MACU its largest lead of the match at 11-5.
      • Texas Wesleyan fought back to bring it to within one on a Sydni Charlton kill to make it 14-13 before the Evangels countered with a string of four straight. Following a Morgan Burns service error, the Evangels got kills from Foecker and Lena Stockhammer to go with a Kaylie Walker service ace, bringing the lead back to five at 18-13.
      • Texas Wesleyan made one more strong run with 4-0 run to cut it back to 18-17, but the Evangels didn't allow the Lady Rams to draw it even. After trading the next four rallies, Mid-America Christian ended the set by scoring five of the final six points, ending it on kills from Cloie Mitchell and Maddie Callicoat to secure the 25-20 opening set victory.
    • Set Two
      • MACU tallied three of the first four points on a pair of kills from Vanessa Moreira and a Foecker kill before Texas Wesleyan countered with four in a row to hold a 5-3 lead.
      • The Evangels fought back to tie it at eight and again at nine, but the Lady Rams surged through the midway point, utilizing a 6-1 run to grab a 15-10 advantage.
      • Following a timeout, Mid-America Christian managed to get a couple of points back, but the Lady Rams retaliated with an 8-1 run, including a string of six unanswered to take their largest lead of the set at 23-13.
      • MACU tried to come back by scoring three of the next four that included a Maegan Plunk service ace and an assisted block from Callicoat and Moreira, but TWU's Veronika Webb put down the kill on the second set point to give the Lady Rams the 25-16 set win.

      • A Webb kill ignited a resurgent Texas Wesleyan team, as the Lady Rams ended the set by scoring nine of the final 11 points to take the set 25-17 and take the lead in the match.
    • Set Four
      • Texas Wesleyan rolled into set four with the momentum, opening with a 7-2 run before Mid-America Christian fought its way back.
