GAME NOTES
	- Mid-America Christian scored its seven runs on eight hits and committed one error while Southwestern Christian tallied just three hits and made one miscue.
- Frensly Leito tossed his second complete game shutout of the season, allowing only three hits and despite walking six batters, notched his fourth double-digit strikeout performance of the season with 10 K's.
- Leito joins Keisy Portorreal and Brad White as the only three pitchers to throw at least three career complete game shutouts with the MACU program. Two of Leito's shutouts have come against the Eagles as the senior hurler tossed one in a 10-0 victory over SCU in the opening game of the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament at Bill Smith Ballpark in Chickasha, Okla. on May 7, 2021.
- Andrew Enwiya led the MACU bats by going 2-for-2 with a pair of RBI singles and scored a run on Devon Villanueva's RBI double in the fifth.
- Villanueva was the only other Evangel to tally multiple RBIs on that fifth-inning double as well as a bases loaded walk in the sixth.
- Isaiah Leon also put together a big game from the leadoff spot, going 3-for-4 with a trio of singles and also scored all three times he reached base.
- It appeared the Eagles were going to do some major damage in the first inning as Leito walked three batters to load the bases with just one out, but was able to get out of the jam by inducing Jarod Beres to ground into a 5-3 double play to end the inning.

GAME NOTES
	- Mid-America Christian pushed across its two runs on four hits while the Eagles tallied its lone run on five hits and committed three errors.
- The Evangels recorded their third walk-off win of the season when Austin Wood drove a single through the left side to plate pinch-runner Christian Guevara with one out. MACU took advantage of some crucial mistakes as Yan Ely Adames and Devon Villanueva both reached on errors to start the inning to put runners at first and third with no one out. SCU elected to intentionally walk Andres Gonzalez to setup the force out at any base and were able to get German Sepulveda to ground into a 6-2 fielder's choice for the first out before Wood's clutch at-bat.
- It appeared the Eagles were going to take a 2-1 lead in the top of the seventh when SCU pinch-hitter Kyler Ayres slapped a two-out single to right field to plate Jordan Bahnuk from second. However, the umpires called obstruction on the on-deck hitter for interfering with the throw home to end the inning.
- Despite not getting the win, sophomore starter Cameron Brown put together the best start of his Evangels career, allowing only one earned run on three hits with four walks and six strikeouts over six innings of work.
- Kelton Lachelt improved to 6-0 on the season after tossing a scoreless seventh, allowing no runs on two hits and recorded a strikeout. Lachelt is currently tied with OCU's Tanner Schoeninger for the wins lead in the Sooner Athletic Conference.
- Wood led the MACU bats by recording half of the Evangels hits, going 2-for-3 with an RBI and a stolen base.
- Ryan Reed recorded his second home run of the season on his solo jack over the left field fence in the third inning. Reed's first dinger of the year came in a walk-off solo shot to left in a 9-8 win over Oklahoma Panhandle State at Tuttle High School on Mar. 5.
- Ever since Southwestern Christian joined the Sooner Athletic Conference in 2014, it was the first time Mid-America Christian had ever swept the Eagles in a three-game series. MACU had only ever won the series twice against SCU by taking 2-of-3 in the 2014 and 2017 campaigns.
- At the official midway point of the season, Mid-America Christian has already notched its 10th 20-win campaign since joining the NAIA in 2008.
- After completing the sweep, Mid-America Christian improved to 8-1 in Sooner Athletic Conference play and currently sit just a half-game back of Oklahoma City (8-0) for the league lead.
