PITCHING DECISION SCORING SUMMARY TOP PERFORMERS GAME SUMMARY
  • After Andrew Enwiya and Isaiah Leon reached on a one-out single and error, Blake Diggle drove in the first run of the game in the bottom of the first on a SAC fly to right, making it a 1-0 game.
  • Oklahoma Panhandle State mustered its only threat of the game in the top of the second when Jonathan Applebury led off the inning with a double and Jhon Cabrera was hit by a pitch two batters later, but MACU starter Frensly Leito easily got out of the jam by striking out back-to-back batters to keep it a 1-0 game.
  • The Evangels scratched across four runs in the bottom of the second, as Ryan Reed started the scoring spree by reaching on a dropped flyball by the center fielder to plate Brandon Reese before Anmi Ortega drove in both Reed and Chris Harris with a two-RBI single up the middle. Leon ended the scoring onslaught by hitting a sacrifice fly to right to bring home Ortega, making it a 5-0 MACU lead.
  • With MACU maintaining a five-run lead, the two teams needed to wait out a 25-minute delay after the lights went out due to a power outage.
  • After being denied a score in the third and the fourth, the Evangels got back on the board in the fifth. After Diggle was hit by a pitch, stole second and Devon Villanueva reached on an error to put runners at the corners, Harris brought in Diggle with a grounder to third to make it a 6-0 score.
  • The Evangels ended the nine-inning game abruptly in the seventh after stringing together a seven-run sixth inning. Following a leadoff walks to Reed and Ortega, Andrew Enwiya cranked a three-run jack over the left-center field fence to extend it to 9-0. With runners at second and third after Leon single and a Villanueva double to right-center, Yan Ely Adames drove in two more with a single to right-center, stretching the edge to 11.
  • Reed wrapped up the scoring with an RBI double down the right-field line to score Reese before Julian Martinez took advantage of a bad throw into the infield to score, wrapping up the 13-0 final.
