  • The Eagles defeated the Evangels for the first time since Mar. 28, 2017, snapping MACU's 13-game win streak in the series.
  • After falling behind 4-1, Mid-America Christian battled back by taking advantage of a pair of Southwestern Christian errors in the bottom of the sixth. After the first two batters reached on a single and an error, the Evangels cut into the lead when SCU starting pitcher Harli Clem snagged a liner off the bat Janessa Larman and tried to double-off Emylee Campbell at first. Her errant throw made it all the way to the fence, allowing Kassie Martin to score from second and make it a 4-2 game.
  • In the following at-bat, Aurelia Holguin drove a single to left to score Campbell before Olivia Roberts hit a laser to the left-center field wall for a double to plate pinch-runner Kenzee Danielson, tying the game at 4-4.
