CHICKASHA, Okla. – The Mid-America Christian softball team put up a pair of tough fights against No. 4 Science & Arts, but the Evangels dropped both games 2-1, 4-1 at Bill Smith Ballpark on Saturday.

• Science & Arts scored its two runs on six hits with one error while the Evangels scored its one run on seven hits with one defensive miscue.
• After giving up the go-ahead run in the bottom of the fifth, the Evangels tied it up as Emylee Campbell led off the inning with a hard-hit double to left before Janessa Larman drove her in with a single dropped into the left-center field gap with one out.
• The Drovers pushed across the walk-off run in the bottom of the seventh on a bases-loaded walk.
• Despite suffering the loss, Harley Beesley pitched a strong six innings, allowing only two runs on six hits with four walks and notched a strikeout in the defeat.
• Emylee Campbell was the lone Evangels bat to record multiple hits, going 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored.
• Janessa Larman drove in the lone MACU run-batted-in, slashing 1-for-3 with an RBI base hit, her 18^th of the season.

• With the loss, Mid-America Christian was swept in the season series with the Drovers winning all four games.

• Mid-America Christian will now prepare for another challenging Sooner Athletic Conference road doubleheader as the Evangels will travel uptown to No. 2 Oklahoma City. The opening game is slated for a 5 p.m. first pitch at Ann Lacy Stadium.
