Softball Swept in Hard-Fought Battle at No. 4 Science & Arts

CHICKASHA, Okla. – The Mid-America Christian softball team put up a pair of tough fights against No. 4 Science & Arts, but the Evangels dropped both games 2-1, 4-1 at Bill Smith Ballpark on Saturday.

  • The Drovers pushed across the walk-off run in the bottom of the seventh on a bases-loaded walk.
  • Despite suffering the loss, Harley Beesley pitched a strong six innings, allowing only two runs on six hits with four walks and notched a strikeout in the defeat.
  • Emylee Campbell was the lone Evangels bat to record multiple hits, going 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored.
  • Janessa Larman drove in the lone MACU run-batted-in, slashing 1-for-3 with an RBI base hit, her 18th of the season.
