- 11 minutes later, the Golden Eagles added to their lead. Immediately after an ORU goal was wiped out on an offside call, Samantha See stole the ball and relayed it to Julia Thasathong on the right side, slipping an eight-yarder inside the right post to bring the score to 2-nil.
- In the 23rd minute, the Eagles stretched its edge to three when Thasathong ran down a loose ball outside on the left side of the 18-yard box, dribbled around Rodriguez trying to play the ball and delivered a cross to an open See on the right side of the box for a 10-yard score.
- With just 1:39 remaining in the first half, the Evangels closed the gap when Kadin Stinson delivered a well-placed ball down the right side for the run of Angel Toledo, who lofted a 24-yard shot from the right side of the box into the top left corner, making it a 3-1 game heading into the half.
- Oral Roberts put together a dangerous scoring opportunity in the 77th minute when See got open off a left side cross, but Rodriguez made a stellar layout save before immediate getting up and batting a rebounded shot by Mia Kitterman to keep it to a 3-1 game.
