OKLAHOMA CITY – After getting off to a cold start from the plate in the series, the MACU baseball bats came alive in the series finale as the Evangels captured their largest margin of victory of the season in a 17-2 drubbing of Jarvis Christian to win the rubber match of the series on Senior Day Saturday.

GAME NOTES
- Mid-America Christian rattled off its 17 runs on 12 hits while Jarvis Christian scored two runs on five hits and committed four errors.
- MACU came out hot on Senior Day as the Evangels pushed across four runs in the first inning, led by Noel McGarry-Doyle blasting a three-run shot over the left-center field wall. German Sepulveda added to it later in the inning by smacking an RBI double to the left-center field gap to plate Tylor Richey, swelling the edge to 4-0.
- Jarvis Christian answered right away in the top of the second as Kenneth Lopez slashed a two-run homer to left-center, giving the Bulldogs their only two runs of the day while cutting the MACU lead in half at 4-2.
- In the bottom of the third, MACU scored three runs with Jacob Police knocking in Tylor Richey with a single up the middle, followed up by Caden Harris roping a long two-run shot over the left field wall, putting the Evangels up 7-2.
- Over the next two innings the Evangels blew the doors open scoring four in the fourth and four in the fifth. Andrew Enwiya started things off with a double to the left-center gap, bringing home Ryan Reed. Police knocked the next two runs in as the fourth inning and Carlos Medina capped off the scoring in the fourth with a bases-loaded walk, stretching out the MACU lead to 11-2.
- In the fifth, Enwiya struck again with a solo shot to left-center followed up with a Police sacrifice fly to score McGarry-Doyle. With the bases loaded, Harris drew a walk to bring home a run before Medina hit the second sacrifice fly of the inning with, plating Makael Shaw on a fly ball to right taking a commanding 15-2 lead.
- The Evangels tacked on two more runs in the sixth beginning with a sacrifice fly from Police to bring home Devon Villanueva. MACU scored its final run of the day when Harris drew his second bases-loaded walk, capping off the 17-2 final.
- Andrew Enwiya put together a Senior Day to remember, batting 2-for-4 while blasting his eighth home run of the season to finish with two RBIs and three runs scored.
- Noel McGarry-Doyle finished his day 1-for-2 from the plate as his first inning home run tied him with Yan Ely Adames for the team-lead with 10 as both players sit in a tie for ninth for most homers hit in a single-season in the NAIA Era. McGarry-Doyle's three RBIs extended his team-lead to 41 while his three runs on the afternoon stretched his team-lead out to 52 while also reaching base on a pair of walks.
- With his 52nd run being scored in the fifth inning, McGarry-Doyle continued his ascent up MACU's NAIA Era single season record board by tying Antonio Dorado (2018) for third-most, needing just two more to match Sam Lewis for second in the books.
- Caden Harris went 1-for-2 and knocked his fifth home run of the season as he finished the day with four RBIs and a career-high three walks.
- Coming off the MACU bench, Jacob Police put together a highly productive afternoon at the dish, slashing 2-for-2 with a while driving in a game-high and a career-high five RBIs.
- Ryan Harney notched his seventh win on the mound moving into third in the NAIA Era record books for wins in a single season, matching him with his teammates Zane Robeaux (2022) and Kelton Lachelt (2022). Harney went five innings, giving up two earned runs on five hits without issuing a walk and striking out five.
- MACU captured the series victory and took a 3-2 lead in the series history with Jarvis Christian.
- The Evangels continued their dominant run of winning season-series as MACU has won 10 of the 12 series consisting of three or more games.
