KANSAS CITY – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced its 2022-23 Daktronics Baseball Scholar-Athletes on Thursday as nine student-athletes from the MACU baseball program received the esteemed distinction.
To be eligible for NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors, a student-athlete must appear on the NAIA eligibility certificate, maintain a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average and have completed at least one full academic year at the nominating institution.
Of all the teams in the Sooner Athletic Conference, Mid-America Christian boasted the most scholar-athletes while Southwestern Assemblies of God had the second-most with seven scholar-athlete recipients.
Overall, there were nearly 1100 Scholar-Athletes that received honors from 150 NAIA institutions.
