OKLAHOMA CITY – After locking up the program's first ever Sooner Athletic Conference Championship on Friday, No. 14 MACU Baseball will enter SAC Tournament as the top seed after the league announced its tournament field on Monday.

The SAC Tournament will take place in two locations from Friday, May 3 to Monday, May 6: Bill Smith Ballpark at Science & Arts in Chickasha, Oklahoma and Jim Wade Stadium at Oklahoma City University.

MACU wrapped up its most successful regular season in program history with a 36-10 overall record while going 20-4 in SAC play, winning the league title by three games over Oklahoma City (32-15, 17-7 SAC) and Science & Arts (31-14, 17-7 SAC).

As the league's No. 1 seed, the Evangels will officially open the double-elimination tournament at 11 a.m. on Friday against No. 8 seed Oklahoma Panhandle State. If MACU wins, they'd play the winner of the No. 3 seed Science & Arts and No. 5 seed Wayland Baptist game at 12:10 p.m. on Saturday or would face the loser of that game at 6 p.m. on Friday night if the Evangels fall in their opener.
