A pair of MACU infielders led the charge in the box, Cristopher Munoz pieced three hits, marking the fourth time he has collected three or more hits in a game this season. Munoz also drove in a pair, including a clutch two-out RBI single in the seventh that extended the lead to 8-6. Jacob Police brought in three on a three-run homer, he has now homered three time in his last five games.
    • The long ball overall has been a great strength for the Evangels, they rank fourth in the NAIA in blasts with 53, extra-base hits in general have been a narrative for MACU, as they rank fourth in that category as well. The Evangels also currently crack the top fifteen in stolen bases, with 76 overall they stand at fourteenth.
    • Munoz and Noel McGarry-Doyle both rank top five in the SAC in batting average, with Munoz hitting safely in seven straight and McGarry-Doyle enters the weekend off a burner, having put up a hit in 20 straight games. The Duo ranks third in Munoz at .410 and McGarry-Doyle fifth at .408.

  • Team Notes:
    • Science & Arts comes off a series victory taking two of three at Oklahoma City, moving to 9-3 in SAC play, putting them a game behind MACU entering this weekend. The Drovers won the first two over the Stars and nearly completed the sweep, but OCU scored two in the bottom of the sixth and starter Tanner Ellis sealed the deal in the seventh, providing OCU with a 3-1 win.
    • The Drovers offer a very talented pitching staff, with the lowest ERA in the SAC they are led by sophomore righty Brain Ereu, Ereu ranks top five in the SAC in wins (5), innings (45.1), ERA (2.38) and runs allowed (17). Outside of Ereu, Tyson Noel and Jared Adams have seen the bulk of innings, the duo both have thrown over 35 innings with a complete game on their resume this season. USAO arms keep the ball in the zone, walking just 58 while working 137 of its own on offense.
    •  Offensively the Drovers are slashing .332 with 22 homers on the season. Senior infielder Gage Ninness has been the leading hitter for USAO, he is hitting .406 with a team leading 41 hits. USAO offers a great effort on the defensive side of the ball, as they lead the SAC in fielding percentage at a 0.968 clip.
    • The teams faced off a whooping six times last season, including three times in the SAC tournament, MACU won four of six and looks to build off that momentum entering this weekend.
