OKLAHOMA CITY. – No. 18 MACU Baseball team returns home for a mid-week matchup against Friends with a 3:00 p.m. first pitch on the MACU Baseball Field Tuesday afternoon.

Team Notes:
- Mid-America Christian comes off a huge series win, taking two-of-three from Science & Arts on the road to remain at the top of the Sooner Athletic Conference standings. MACU split through the first two games, in a pair of close scoring games winning 4-2 Friday night, dropping the first game on Saturday at a 9-7 score, but the Evangels smashed three homers with two coming off the bat of Jacob Police in the 10-5 victory.
- The Evangels have been playing good ball in all aspects, MACU starters Fabian Hernandez, Angel Miranda and Gabriel Dixon all stand in with 4-1 records and ERA's 4.10 or below.
- Defensively the Evangels have been stellar, committing just three errors in their last nine games, in which MACU has a 7-2 record.
- The MACU bats continue to stay hot, they currently have four players slashing over .350, with Noel McGarry-Doyle leading at a .404 clip, Cristopher Munoz follows with a .394 BA, Carlos Medina boosted his average to .385 after a phenomenal 8-for-13 week, that included four bombs, and a pair of doubles and utility man Giordany Mendoza is hitting .354.
- Medina's week was good enough to earn him SAC Player of the Week honors, as the Evangels took it home on the pitching side as well, although he received a no-decision, Fabian Hernandez turned in an incredible outing in the 4-2 win over the Drovers. Herandez tossed 7.2 innings on 140 pitches, both season highs for any MACU arm. Nonetheless, the southpaw allowed just two runs on five hits, while walking four and punching out nine.

Team Notes:
- After stepping in with a 6-11 record in the previous matchup back on March fourth, Friends has turned it around, winning 10 of its last 13 games, boosting its record to 16-14.
- The Falcons step in with a very solid team batting average of .306 and on base percentage of .426, Bernie Soccras, Zeke Hensen and Carlos Rodrigeuz lead the bunch, the trio all steps in hitting over .320, and offer the majority of the power in the Falcons lineup. Friends has blasted 30 homers on the year, and 22 of them has come off the bats of the trio. Henson and Rodriguez lead the team with eight a piece.
- Friends has not been as successful on the mound then they are in the box, they currently have a staff era of 6.57, Francisco Moscoso a senior righty, leads the staff. He has a 5.52 ERA through nine starts including three complete games. Moscoso carried Friends to a 1-0 victory in its last game, over Avila in which Moscoso threw a complete game shutout, despite walking eight, he struck out 10 and allowed only three hits.
- Friends has dropped four straight games to MACU and is chasing its first win over the Evangels since they won 6-0 back on Apr. 21, 2022.
