    • Mid-America Christian returns to conference play following a lopsided 28-15 loss against Friends on the MACU Baseball Field Tuesday Afternoon.
    • Despite pounding out a program record of ten homers hit in a game, including the most ever done by an individual player by D'Andre Gaines with three. Gaines boosted his homerun total on the season to ten, which is tied for the team lead with Cristopher Munoz and Brett Justice. Munoz homered twice in the contest, and Justice added a solo shot.
    • After a ten-homer game, it is no surprise to see the Evangels remain in the top five in the NAIA in both homers and total extra-base hits, as they stand fourth in both categories.
    • MACU has won five straight games over Southwestern Christian and have won 10 of the 12 matchups dating back to the 2022 season.

  • Team Notes:
    • Southwestern Christian enters three games over .500 in SAC play, coming off a 2-1 series win on the road against Panhandle State. After splitting the first two ball games, the Eagles responded in a loud way in game three, defeating the Aggies 15-3. The heart of the order did it for SCU, with 2-5 hitters combining for 10 of the 13 RBIs in the game.
    • Jhors Gomes and Dario Parades are two of the top batters for Southwestern Christian, the duo leads the club in homers with seven for Parades and five for Gomes. SCU trails MACU for the SAC lead in batting average, trailing by a slight amount, with a .336 team average compared to .341 for the Evangels.
    • The teams are neck and neck on the pitching side of things, nearly the same in the ERA column, with the Evangels staff allowing 5.88 runs a game, and SCU surrendering 5.95 per game. Elian Cuevas steps in as the ace for the Eagles, he has a 6-2 record across nine starts with two complete games. He has totaled a team lead 47 innings, which ranks seventh in the SAC. Cuevas checks in with a 3.06 ERA, allowing 34 hits and leads the SAC in punchouts with 69.
