    • Mid-America Christian comes off a tough series loss to SAC rival Southwestern Christian, after winning game one by a 9-7 final, The Eagles swept day two, holding the Evangel offense that averages 9.3 runs per game to just eight on the day in the 7-5 and 6-3 SCU victories.
    • MACU has now lost three of its last four games, the last time the Evangels lost three of four they proceeded to go on a season-high of 14 consecutive wins lasting from Mar. 11 to Apr. 5 of last season.
    • Despite the negative results, the Evangels had many positives including Cristopher Munoz's monster week, he finished 8-for-13 with a pair of homers, six runs, four RBIs three walks and four stolen bags. Munoz now leads MACU with a .421 batting average, which ranks third in the SAC.
    • MACU has historically had success playing on Tuesday's, aside from last week's loss to Friends, the Evangels have won nine of its last 10 games played on Tuesday's dating back to 2023.

  • Team Notes:
    • McPherson enters Tuesday coming off a 2-1 series win over Avila, bouncing back from a 15-7 loss in game one with a pair of victories Saturday. Chasing 10-1 in game two, the Bulldogs rallied for a 10-run sixth inning, and five more in the seventh, stunning Avila for a 16-11 comeback victory. Designated hitter Peyton Starr played a big part, he went 3-for-5 with a homer, two runs and five driven in.
    • The Bulldogs are batting .308 as a team, with Colt Sussex-Uphold playing a massive role in the offense, his .446 batting average ranks 23rd amongst all hitters in the NAIA and second in the KCAC, trailing only Cody Moore of Tabor for the lead as Moore is hitting .455.
    • As a staff McPherson has had its struggles, Matthew Bomersback leads the staff, he has made eight starts across 10 appearances with a 5.03 ERA. The Bulldogs staff overall carries an ERA just under eight at 7.92. McPherson will be looking to fill up the zone as they have walked 230 batters in 35 games, on top of that they have 66 hit batters for a staff WHIP of 1.99.
    • One bright spot in the Bulldogs staff is their ability to close out games, with nine saves overall amongst five different relievers.
