The Evangels bounced back with a 6-2 victory Saturday afternoon behind great pitching performances by Fabian Hernandez and Brock Cordes.
    • Hernandez brought his team leading ERA down to 2.95 after tossing six innings, allowing two runs on seven hits, a pair of walks and nine punchouts. Hernandez not only leads the MACU arms in runs per game, but the whole SAC as well. The southpaw also cracks the top ten in innings (6th), strikeouts (7th), innings (7th) and he is tied for 6th in wins with six.
    • Cordes wrapped up a strong week after picking up the three-inning save on no runs in the 6-2 win in game three, Cordes overall logged nine innings on the week after throwing six shutout against Texas Wesleyan on Monday. His final line was nine innings, giving up just one run on four hits, six walks and nine K's.
    • A couple of left-handed bats had strong weeks for MACU, including Taiga Sakuma and Noel McGarry-Doyle. Sakuma was an on-base machine, he went 4-for-10 in the box, but was walked seven times, allowing him to pick up six RBIs and seven runs. Noel McGarry-Doyle lifted his average up to .420 behind going 8-for-17 over his last four games. McGarry-Doyle stole five bases as well, bringing his stolen base total to 27, which was more than his past two previous combined at 26, and is one shy of teammate Payton Matthews for a SAC lead.
