  • Team Notes:
    • Mid-America Christian tied a season-high in hits with 16 following a 15-11 win at McPherson Tuesday afternoon. Noel McGarry-Doyle continued his historic season with a 2-for-3 game featuring a double, three RBIs, two runs and a pair of walks. McGarry-Doyle is creeping on the 200 hit mark as an Evangel, he trails only Yan Adames' 267 (2019-2023) for the all-time lead at MACU. Nonetheless McGarry-Doyle's .426 batting average has placed him as the highest MACU batting average during the NAIA-ERA (2007-present) as he is just underneath the .400 clip at a career .399 hit rate. Not only does the corner outfielder lead in average, but his incredible .515 on-base percentage ranks first amongst all MACU hitters during the NAIA-era as well.
    • The Evangels expect another quality outing out of Fabian Hernandez, the SAC leader in ERA with a 2.95 rate steps in this weekend with a 6-1 record and has not received a loss over his last eight starts.
    • Trailing a full game to Wayland in the SAC standings, the Evangels will need some help from Central Christian in chances to repeat as SAC regular season champions. MACU stands in clinched at least the two seed regardless of the results this weekend. The Evangels have won back-to-back regular season series over Oklahoma City including a 3-1 record last year including the SAC tournament.
    • The senior day ceremony will be held in between games Friday afternoon with the following players to be honored: Carlos Medina, Joel Nieves, Zachary Stark, Julian Martinez, Ryan Harney, Jacob Mallozzi, Jordan Smith, Gabriel Dixon, Brock Cordes, Andrew Long, Cristopher Munoz, Payton Matthews, Noel McGarry-Doyle, D'Andre Gaines, Cruz Perez, Vasin Thurman, Hunter Sills, Jason Thurman, Guillermo Velasco, Jaxon James and Carlos Escobosa.

  • Players to Watch (Pitching):
    • Jacob Burkett– SR – RHP

  • Team Notes:
    • Oklahoma City enters the series coming off a down year, with a rare record under .600 at 16-21 overall and 11-13 in SAC play. The Stars are still not to be taken lightly as they offer a team batting average of .289 that is highlighted by Trent Kiraly and Aidan Van Rensum. Kiraly ranks in the top five in the SAC in average at a .420 clip, he leads the Stars in hits with 55, homers (10) and RBIs (40).
    • The Starting rotation for OCU has been the strongest aspect of the team this season, as Jacob Burkett, Tanner Ellis, and Andrew Limbaugh have all thrown over 50 innings with ERA's under 5.50. In an offense-heavy conference having three starting pitchers under 5.50 typically generates success.
    • The key for Mid-America Christian will be to get to the OCU bullpen early and often, as outside Burkett, Ellis and Limbaugh the rest of the Stars staff has allowed 130 earned runs across 107.1 innings pitched, translating to a 10.92 ERA.
    • OCU will be playing for seeding as they currently are tied with Nelson and Texas Wesleyan for fifth in the SAC with 11-13 records overall.
