OKLAHOMA CITY – No. 19 MACU Baseball makes its home debut this week as the Evangels host Peru State in a four-game series starting with a doubleheader on Thursday afternoon at 3 p.m. Friday afternoon's doubleheader begins at 3 p.m.

• Team Notes:
  • Mid-America Christian has found some form winning three games in a row after an 0-4 start. The Evangels beat Sterling on the road on Tuesday afternoon to keep the momentum rolling.  
  • Gabriel Dixon recorded the win on the mound against Sterling. However, Liam Taft stole the show with a big save with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth to secure the 5-3 win.
  • Nick Hill, Jalen King, and Sammy Hallada lead the way in batting all with 11 hits apiece this season. Hill is coming off a three hit, two RBI, and a home run game in the win over Sterling. King had one hit but led the team with three stolen bases including stealing home.
  • Mid-America Christian remains in the top 25 in the NAIA Preseason Poll receiving 151 votes ranking the Evangels 19^th.

  • Peru State split a four-game series in Winfield, Kansas to Southwestern College last weekend in route to a 2-4 record. The Bobcats opened their season with a two-game series at Oklahoma Wesleyan, losing a pair in large margins.
  • Josh Schaller is the leading batter averaging a .533 clip with eight hits on the year. However, Wrigley Strong has seven hits with four home runs on a 1.111 slugging percentage.
  • Kevin Diaz and Casey Ogden are the Bobcats' leaders on the mound as both were credited with a win so far this season. Diaz has a 3.60 ERA with a team high nine strikeouts.
  • This is the first ever meeting between MACU and Peru State.
