OKLAHOMA CITY – No. 19 MACU Baseball heads to Wichita, Kansas after a 4-0 home opening series against Peru State, as the Evangels face Friends on Tuesday afternoon starting at 2 p.m.

    • After an 0-4 start, Mid-America Christian have won seven consecutive to improve to 7-4 on the young season. The Evangels faced Peru State in their home opener last weekend, allowing just three runs in four games while racking up 28.
    • Junior pitcher Jayce Moore has dominated the mound with a 2-0 record, striking out 16 batters while allowing a .154 opponents' batting average. Moore has pitched 12.2 innings in his three appearances this season accumulating a 1.42 ERA.
    • Nick Hill leads the Evangels batting .455 off 15 hits and a team-high 12 RBIs. Hill also leads MACU with three home runs, including a solo shot over the weekend.
    • Mid-America Christian remains in the top 25 in the NAIA Preseason Poll receiving 151 votes ranking the Evangels 19th.

    • Friends opened KCAC play this past weekend with a trip to Ottawa where the Falcons went 0-3 losing two close games in Friday's doubleheader, then an 8-3 loss in the nine-inning game. The Falcons opened the season with a pair of wins over Sooner Athletic Conference members Oklahoma City but have since lost four in a row.
    • Junior catcher Elijah Morales has played every game for the Falcons this season and bats a .344 clip with 11 hits and a .553 on-base percentage.
    • Brett Black has led the Falcons on the mound with three starts this season tallying a 1-1 record. Black has pitched 12.2 innings without walking a single batter, recording 12 strikeouts in the process. He has the best ERA of Friends' starting pitchers at 3.55.
    • Friends holds a narrow 15-13 all-time record against MACU, including the exhilarating 28-15 game that took place on March 25, 2025, the previous meeting between the Evangels and Falcons.
