  • The Evangels exploded in the bottom half of the third with a lead off single from Elijah Lee and a walk from Sammy Hallada. Jalen King's RBI single scored Lee's run, while Hallada made the trip around off a throwing error for the 2-1 lead. MACU tacked on two more starting with another double down the left field line from Hill as King scored. Then Hill got home on a double play.
  • The Larks scored a second run in the top of the fifth with a lead off walk and a single. A fielder's choice allowed the runner from third to go home to cut the deficit to 4-2.
  • MACU's at bats in the fifth started with Jalen King's double to left field. Consecutive fly outs advanced King to third and then home as Adam Hanan was credited the RBI.
  • The Evangels racked up a few more in the sixth as Cole Krepcik started the action with a single and advanced to third after a stolen base and an error. Julio Felix's RBI single scored Krepcik. Followed by King with a pair of RBIs on a single to score Lee and Kinnaman to lead 8-2.
  • Mid-America Christian looked to end the game by run rule in the eighth starting with the third double from Nick Hill to score Hallada and Lee. A wild pitch scored the run of King and Krepcik's walk loaded the bases. Felix was unable to get a ball in play to score the Evangel runner from third and advanced the game to the top of the ninth.
