  • However, the Evangels weren't trailing for long as consecutive singles from Sammy Hallada and Jalen King quickly put runners in scoring position. Hallada scored the tying run on a fielding error, while Cole Krepcik's sacrifice fly scored King for a 2-1 lead. Conner Thompson getting the start behind the plate and batting eighth homered to left field for a first inning grand slam. The Evangels scored six in the bottom half of the first and lead 6-1.
  • MACU saw runners advance to third on wild pitches in consecutive innings in the third and fourth. Frankie Giacalone was left on third base in the third inning. However, the Evangels scored Elijah Lee in the fourth as Jalen King's RBI singled through the left side.
  • In the bottom of the sixth, Conner Thompson hit a lead off single. Hallada and King reached base on walks to load the bases and bring up the Sooner Athletic Conference leader in home runs, Nick Hill. Hill swung at the first pitch and sent it over the center field wall for his ninth home run of the season and second grand slam of the game. MACU led 11-1 and brought the seven-inning run rule into play.
  • Andrws Acosta on the mound in the seventh in relief retired three consecutive batters including a strikeout to finish off the Bobcats in just seven innings by a final score 11-1.
