Oklahoma City, Okla. -- Thursday (Oct. 21) will be a special evening, as the Mid-America Christian Lady Evangels Volleyball squad will be hosting their annual "Dig Pink match" in honor of breast cancer awareness month for their conference tilt with the Oklahoma City Stars.
The event is held through the side-out foundation and the volleyball squad is selling "Dig Pink" t-shirts for $10 each to generate funds for the cause this year.
"I am very excited about our 2nd annual Dig Pink Match," said head coach Nikki Dieball.
"The team really has a heart for this organization and truly enjoys the ability to help in the fight against breast cancer. We always have good support from the entire University with this project, which makes it so much fun to host this event."
The event was a huge success last year, raising over $1,000 to aid breast cancer research.
The match against OCU begins at 5 p.m. inside of the Gaulke Activity Center.
