OKLAHOMA CITY – The Sooner Athletic Conference announced its 2025-26 Scholar Team honorees on Tuesday as Mid-America Christian represented nine of the 129 teams in the league to earn the esteemed honor.
In order to receive SAC Scholar Team acclaim, an NAIA-sponsored program must maintain a 3.00 cumulative grade-point average at the conclusion of the academic year. The calculation factors in the grades of all varsity student-athletes that competed for their respective program over the 2025-26 school year.
The Evangels once again performed at a high level of excellence academically with nine of its 11 NAIA-sponsored programs earning SAC Scholar Team honors.
The MACU Volleyball program posted the highest team GPA amongst MACU's women's teams with a 3.57 while the MACU Men's Soccer team posted the highest GPA amongst the men's teams at 3.52. MACU Men's Basketball and MACU Women's Soccer also were excellent academically, finishing the year with a 3.48 and 3.47, respectively.
