OKLAHOMA CITY – MACU Athletics continued its excellence in the classroom during the 2025-26 academic year as the Evangels matched their own program record with 158 student-athlete standouts named to the Sooner Athletic Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll on Wednesday.

To be named to the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll, a student-athlete competing in an NAIA-sponsored sport on the varsity level must maintain a 3.00 cumulative grade-point average over the course of the academic year.

The 158 recipients amongst MACU's 11 NAIA-sponsored sports matched the institution's previous record that the Evangels placed on the list during the 2023-24 academic year.

The MACU Women's Soccer program boasted the most student-athletes on the list with 33 while the MACU Men's Soccer program lauded the most amongst of the men's programs with 30, followed closely by the MACU Baseball program with 29.

The MACU Men's Basketball program produced the most student-athletes on the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll by percentage of its athletes on the list as 16 of its 18 members were named to the esteemed list.
