Kansas City, Mo. -- The postseason honors just keep coming for MACU's outstanding senior OH/MH Cris Smith (Sao Paulo, Brazil), as she has been named to the Tachikara NAIA Volleyball All-America team as an Honorable-Mention selection, the organization announced today.
Smith displayed solid senior leadership on the court this season and helped the Mid-America Christian Lady Evangels to a third-place finish at the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Central Regional Tournament.
In the 3-1 victory over Southwestern Assemblies of God in the regional consolation match, Smith totaled 20 kills and 10 dig.
She was also a standout performer within the Sooner Athletic Conference, ranking second in the conference in kills, third in kills per set and third in hitting percentage.
But Smith's contributions didn't stop on the offensive side, as she was also tied for second in the SAC in blocks, fourth in blocks per set and 11th in digs.
