OKLAHOMA CITY -- Mid-America Christian University volleyball head coach Craig Ruiz has announced the signing of Tierra East to the program for the upcoming 2013 season.

Prior to committing at MACU, East competed at Douglass High School in Oklahoma City.

"Tierra is a really good athlete that will bring the type of vision and speed we need to be a really good defensive team," Ruiz said."

"Tierra has also been a part of several championship teams and knows how to win, so I know she will be a huge asset to our squad!"

East is joining a Lady Evangel squad that posted their first winning record (18-16) since the program joined the NAIA and also advanced to the NCCAA Central Regional title game for the first time since 2009.
