OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Mid-America Christian University Volleyball Lady Evangels have been picked seventh in the Sooner Athletic Conference preseason coaches poll, the league released yesterday (Aug. 12).

The three-time defending SAC conference champs Oklahoma Baptist University was a unanimous choice to repeat this season by picking up a maximum 64 points.  Coaches are not allowed to vote for their own school.

Wayland Baptist University picked up the other first place vote to come in second.  Oklahoma City University was third, followed by John Brown University and Southwestern Assemblies of God University.

Texas Wesleyan University checked in sixth, with MACU, St. Gregory's University and Southwestern Christian University wrapping up the poll.

The Lady Evangels, coming off their first winning season since joining the NAIA, will open the 2013 campaign at home against Texas College on Aug. 27 inside the Gaulke Activity Center.
