Volleyball Welcomes Camera Broadnax to Program This Season

OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Mid-America Christian University Lady Evangels volleyball squad has added Camera Broadnax into the fold for this season.

Prior to arriving at MACU this year, Broadnax competed at Pratt (Kan.) Community College.

Broadnax, a 5'5 libero, earned first-team All-District honors as a senior last year at Mansfield Timberview High School and was also named Defensive Player of the Year two straight seasons.

Her achievements have placed her in the top three all-time in Mansfield Timberview HS history.

"Camera is a defensive specialist that brings determination, speed and good passing skills to our program," head coach Mike Freeman said.

"Her past experiences bring knowledge of how to read hitters and she reacts to get balls that many people can't. She has the potential to be a top defensive player in our conference. We welcome her and hope for great things from her in the classroom and on the volleyball court."

She is the daughter of Sharon Primus and Jerry Broadnax and plans to major in Psychology at MACU.

Her father played tight end in the NFL for the Houston Oilers during the 1974 season.
