OKLAHOMA CITY – Mid-America Christian University volleyball head coach Mike Freeman has announced the signing of Piedmont, Okla. native Skylar Mylonas for the upcoming 2016 season.
Mylonas, a freshman libero/defensive specialist, prepped at Piedmont high school and was a three-time all-tournament selection while also being named the team's Defensive MVP.
"Skylar has played school and club volleyball for a number of years and has a high IQ of the sport coming from a number of different coaches, as well as studying the game on her own," Freeman said.
"She has a number of skill sets that will contribute to our program almost immediately and also has a high GPA, so she will be strong in the classroom as well."
Mylonas will be joining a program that is coming off their first .500 season (16-16) since the 2012 season and only their second since joining the NAIA in 2007.
She is the daughter of Chris and Cheryn Mylonas and plans to major in Business Psychology at MACU.
