OKLAHOMA CITY – The Sooner Athletic Conference announced its Commissioner's Honor Roll on Wednesday as Mid-America Christian University's seven athletic programs had a program-record 106 student-athletes named to the list.
In the sixth year of the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll, the league tallied a total of 1388 student-athletes between the conference's 11 full-time members and eight partial members, the highest total since starting the list following the 2014-15 academic year.
To be named to the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll, a student-athlete must have held a 3.0 GPA over the past academic year while competing in an NAIA recognized sport.
It is the first time MACU has ever placed more than 100 student-athletes on the honor roll, surpassing the previous high of 91 following the 2017-18 academic year.
The MACU men's soccer team had the most student-athletes make the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll amongst the Evangels athletic programs, placing 24 on the list.
The Mid-America Christian softball program placed nearly its entire roster on the honor roll as 21 of its 23 student-athletes made the cut as did the women's basketball team, landing 11 of its 13 players on the list.
