TUTTLE, Okla. – Senior centerfielder Yan Ely Adames came up clutch for the MACU baseball team in its first game of a doubleheader played at Tuttle High School on Sunday afternoon as his solo home run in the bottom of the 11^th inning propelled the Evangels to a dramatic 3-2 victory over Wayland Baptist before falling in a 1-0 pitcher's duel in the nightcap.

• Yan Ely Adames' 11^th-inning homer was his ninth of the season, boosting his season RBI total to 42 on the year.
• It was MACU's longest contest since dropping a 5-4 decision in 11 frames at Bacone (Okla.) on Apr. 24, 2016.
• Bernardo Moreno picked up his second straight win in relief, tossing three scoreless innings while allowing just two hits and two walks to go with five strikeouts.
• Brayan Garcia also pitched well in relief, going 4.1 innings and giving up just four hits and two walks while also tallying five strikeouts.

• The NAIA's leading home run hitter produced the only run of the contest with his 25^th coming on a solo shot in the first inning.
• Despite suffering the loss, junior starter Brad White pitched very well in a complete game, allowing just one earned run on five hits with three walks and tied a season-high 10 strikeouts.
• Isaiah Haddad and Joe Balak recorded the only two hits for MACU, both singles.
• Both games were played at the Tuttle High School baseball field due to unsatisfactory field conditions due to the thunderstorms that rolled through Oklahoma City on Thursday night and Friday morning.
