OKLAHOMA CITY – Mid-America Christian University Athletic Director Marcus Moeller is proud to announce that Kyle Highfill has been promoted to the new role of Coordinator of Athletic Operations as of June 1.
"The addition of this full time role to our athletic staff is another tremendous step forward for MACU Athletics," said Moeller. "With the incredible facilities additions and necessary additional internal operational needs, this role fills a huge gap for our department."
Highfill will primarily be tasked with the management of the newly built O'Brien Training Center as well as continue his role of handling gameday operations.
"I am super excited to step into a new full-time position at MACU," said Highfill. "I have enjoyed working alongside some great staff and have learned a lot along the way. Marcus Moeller has been a great mentor to me ever since I started school at MACU and it's been awesome to work under him for these past few years. I can't wait to see what the future has in store for MACU Athletics!"
"I could not be more excited to partner with Kyle," Moeller added. "He has worked incredibly hard over the past four years, mostly in the unnoticed, unseen, long hours that small college athletics demands. Without question our athletic department is better because of his work ethic during that time. Kyle loves the Lord and has a passion for athletic excellence. There is no doubt that he will star in this new role and play a large role in the continued rapid growth of MACU Athletics."
Previously, Highfill served as the Athletics Administrative Assistant from January 2018 to May 31, where he prepared facilities for gamedays, scheduled student employees, managed schedules for most of MACU's varsity and junior varsity athletic programs as well as handled paperwork for the athletic department.
Highfill also served as a Storm Chaser for the Oklahoma City Thunder from August 2018 to July 2019, where he connected with fans, ran on-court promotions as well as handled setup and tear down for athletic events inside the Chesapeake Energy Arena.
Highfill graduated from MACU in December with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Sports Management. As an undergraduate, Highfill was a member of the Ironman Leadership program for four years, a leader for New Student Orientation for three years as well as served as a both a Resident Assistant and Intramural Director for one year.
