OKLAHOMA CITY – The Sooner Athletic Conference unveiled its Scholar-Athlete list on Thursday afternoon as Mid-America Christian notched a program record 102 on the esteemed docket.

To be eligible for SAC Scholar-Athlete acclaim, a student-athlete must be at least a junior by academic standing, appear on the NAIA eligibility certificate, completed at least one year at the nominating institution, and possess a 3.50 or higher cumulative grade-point average.

The 2024-25 recipients mark the first time MACU has placed triple-digit student-athletes on the list, besting the program's previous record of 85 that received SAC Scholar-Athlete recognition. Impressively, the Evangels boasted the second-most scholar-athletes in the league and were one of only three institutions in the SAC to post triple-digit recipients.

The MACU Men's Soccer program boasted the most recipients with 26 earning Scholar-Athlete accolades while Women's Soccer and Baseball posted the second and third-most at 18 and 17 respectively.

The MACU Volleyball team continued to boast great success in the classroom as 11 of its 16 members earned the honor.
