OKLAHOMA CITY – The MACU Track & Field teams will make way to Wilmore, Ky. this week to compete in the NCCAA Outdoor National Championships at the Gray Outdoor Venue on the campus of Asbury University on Thursday and Friday.

EVENT NOTES

• The Evangels will open the meet with a pair of events on Thursday evening as Cora Eyler will start it off with the 100-meter hurdle preliminaries before they run the final on Friday afternoon. Eyler became MACU's first women's NCCAA Outdoor National Championship qualifier in both hurdle events. Eyler notched the 16^th-fastest 100-meter hurdle mark with a time of 17.15 and also ranks 16^th in the 400-meter with a time of 1:12.19.
• MACU will close out its first day with the 4x800-meter relay. The Evangels captured the NCCAA National Championship in the indoor 4x800-meter, but this time will feature Lucky Maila, Blake Jensen, Collin Seely, and Chase Cotarelo. MACU enters the outdoor as one of the favorites, posting the second-fastest time in the NCCAA this season with a mark of 7:55.16.
• The Evangels will have an early morning to start off the final day of the NCCAA Championships with the 5000-meter taking place at 9 am (8 am CST). Maila and Cameron Pearson will be competing in the race, as Maila owns the 10^th-fastest time in the NCCAA this season with a time of 15:24.30.
• Jagger Jay and Sam Boyles will be competing in MACU's lone field event, the pole vault on Friday morning. Both Jay and Boyles set qualifying marks at the OBU Invitational as Jay's mark of 4.15-meters (13'-7.25") is currently the 15^th-best height while Boyles enters with a mark of 3.85-meters (12'-7.5"), ranking 22^nd.
• Aidan Collins will be MACU's representative in the 3000-meter steeplechase. The sophomore distance runner made his NCCAA qualifying mark at the BCC Grizzly Gold Invite on Apr. 10, posting a time of 10:14.16 to set the eighth-fastest mark entering the event.
• Maila, Pearson, and Jensen will follow suit by running in the 1500-meter race in the early afternoon session. Pearson has posted MACU's best mark in the event this season with a time of 4:13.22, which ranks 36^th and Jensen's best time of 4:15.43 ranks at the 43^rd best time. Maila, who has been primarily a long distance runner for the Evangels will be competing in his first 1500-meter during the outdoor season.
• Cotarelo and Seely will run the final men's event for the Evangels in the 800-meter. Cotarelo will be seeking to contend for a podium spot in the event when he posted the fifth-fastest time in the NCCAA this season with a time of 1:55.10 at the SAC Championships a few weeks ago to earn his second All-SAC accolade with a third-place finish in that race.
