6.23.08 - Mid-America Christian University recently signed Yukon native Katie Edgemon to play women's soccer in the 2008-2009 season.

Edgemon, an 18-year-old graduate from Putnam City West High School, plays mid-field for the Lady Patriots and will play the same position for the MACU Lady Evangels.

"I am excited to have Katie join our soccer program," MACU Women's Soccer Coach Zach Bice said. "She is a hard worker and will bring a positive attitude to our team next year."

MACU is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and the Sooner Athletic Conference.
