Dobie named NCCAA Co-Women's Soccer Player of the Week

For the second time this week, goalkeeper Melissa Dobie has garnered a Player of the Week honor, this time being named the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Division I Co-Women's Soccer Player of the Week, announced by the national office.

Earlier this week, Dobie had also been selected as the Sooner Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.

Dobie's play in the net has been instrumental in helping the Lady Evangels jump to No. 7 in the latest NCCAA poll and a 10-0 start overall and 3-0 in the SAC.

In addition to her eight shutout victories, Dobie currently ranks third in the NAIA with an 0.31 goals-against-average and third in the SAC with 50 saves on the season.

Dobie and the Lady Evangels will face a test to their unbeaten mark when they will play at No. 23-ranked (NAIA) Oklahoma City University on Saturday evening (Oct. 9) at 5 p.m.
