Melissa Dobie named NCCAA Women's Soccer Player of the Week

Oklahoma City, Okla. -- Just two days after receiving her third SAC Defensive Player of the Week honor, Mid-America Christian Lady Evangel goalkeeper Melissa Dobie has been named the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the second time this season.
Last week, Dobie allowed only one goal in 200 minutes in the net to help the Lady Evangels to a critical 2-1 win at Southern Nazarene and a 0-0 tie at Oklahoma Baptist.

For the season, Dobie is tops in the Sooner Athletic Conference and 19th in the NAIA with an 0.67 goals-against-average.

Dobie's 103 saves this season is also good for second in the conference.

Her stellar play in the net is a big reason why MACU is having their best season in school history with a 15-2-1 overall record and a 8-2-1 record in the SAC.

The Lady Evangels are set to host the quarterfinals of the SAC Postseason Tournament on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.
