Oklahoma City, Okla. -- The Mid-America Christian University Lady Evangels notched their second shutout in as many matches by routing the Wayland Baptist University Pioneers 4-0 in a Sooner Athletic Conference matchup Saturday morning (Oct. 15) at Evangel Field.

The Lady Evangels (10-2-1, 5-1-1 SAC) extended the lead on a
Chelsea Swisher goal in the 75th minute that made it 3-0.
Nicole Farquhar then scored off a goalkeeper deflection with less than a minute remaining to finish out the scoring.
Byrd had a match-high 10 shots and six shots-on-goal to pace the Lady Evangels' offensive attack.
Madison Abbott led the Pioneers (6-7, 1-5 SAC) with a team-high three shots.
Melissa Dobie stopped five shots in the net for the Lady Evangels in recording her conference-leading seventh shutout of the season. Courtney Chambers made nine stops for the Pioneers.
