Oklahoma City, Okla. -- Junior forwards Kassie Byrd (Noble, Okla.) and Julia Nimal (Owasso, Okla.) have each earned their second consecutive spot on the NSCAA/NCCAA Continental Tires first-team All-America squad, the organization announced today.

Byrd and Nimal each ranked fourth and fifth in points, respectively this season in the Sooner Athletic Conference.  Byrd's 41 points were the highest by a Lady Evangel this joining the NAIA in 2008, with Nimal's 40 points this season the second-most.

Byrd recorded a team-high 19 goals on the season, while  Nimal scored 15 times along with a team-best 10 assists.  Nimal's assist total was tied for third in the SAC.

This represents the second athletic award for Byrd and Nimal, as each player was also a first-team All-Conference performer this season.

The duo helped the Lady Evangels finish 12-7-1 overall this year and 6-4-1 in the SAC.  They advanced to the SAC Tournament quarterfinals and then the NCCAA Central Regional championship game.
