Oklahoma City, Okla. -- After leading the 5-1 Mid-America Christian Lady Evangels to a pair of road victories this past week, junior forward Julia Nimal (Owasso, Okla.) has been named the Sooner Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced today.

Nimal first recorded a hat trick in the Lady Evangels' 5-0 rout at Southwestern (Kan.) last Wednesday (Sept. 14), then delivered the teams' only two goals at McPherson (Kan.), scoring twice in the second half to rally MACU for a 2-1 victory.

Nimal leads the Lady Evangels and is currently second in the SAC with nine goals scored this season.

She also ranks second on the team with three assists and has a team-high 51 shots.

Nimal and the Lady Evangels will next begin conference play by hosting Oklahoma Baptist on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 3 p.m. in a rematch of last season's SAC tournament quarterfinals, won by the Lady Evangels, 2-0.
