OKLAHOMA CITY -- Despite out-shooting the Oklahoma Christian University Eagles by 18 shots, the Mid-America Christian University Lady Evangels couldn't dent the scoreboard and fell 1-0 in non-conference action Tuesday night in Oklahoma City.
The Lady Evangels held a 15-6 edge in shots during the first half and a 13-4 advantage in the second half, but it was Callie White scoring off a feed from Laura Welch in the 81st minute that gave the Lady Eagles the win.
OC goalkeeper Lindsey Williams fueled the Lady Eagles' win by stopping all 13 shots she faced.
The Lady Evangels will look to get back on the winning track by hosting Bethel College (Kan.) on Friday afternoon (Aug. 31) at 2 p.m. at MACU Soccer Field.
