OKLAHOMA CITY -- Mid-America Christian University sophomore defender Rachel Lynn has been selected to the Capitol One CoSIDA Academic All-District IV College Division squad, the organization announced today.

This award is voted on by members of the College of Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and nominees must maintain a minimum 3.3 grade-point-average and be at least a sophomore in athletic standing.

Lynn has started all 16 games this season for the Lady Evangels and has been a key member of a defensive unit that has posted five shutouts this year.

With her first-team honor, Lynn will now advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot, which will be voted upon beginning Nov. 5.
