OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Mid-America Christian University Lady Evangels were victorious 3-1 over the St. Gregory's University Cavaliers on Senior Day Saturday afternoon (Nov. 2) at MACU Soccer Field.

Michelle Medina, the Lady Evangels' lone senior, assisted on a goal by Chelsea Swisher that put MACU on top at the 29:00 mark.

The Lady Evangels (10-7, 4-6 SAC) held on to that lead until Ciara Mitchell scored at the 60:33 mark for a two goal lead.

SGU (6-9-1, 1-8 SAC) wouldn't go quietly though as Abi Housecroft scored to trim the deficit to one in the 85th minute.

But Kaci Power put it away for the Lady Evangels on a score from Swisher with just two minutes remaining.

MACU out-shot SGU 20-12 overall and 11-6 on-goal.  Kenady Maynard made two saves in the first half for the Lady Evangels, while Kaitlyn Whitten came in and stopped three shots.  Haylee Merrill made six saves for the Cavaliers.

The Lady Evangels will now gear up for the upcoming Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament.
