OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Mid-America Christian University Women's Soccer team has been tabbed to finish sixth in the Sooner Athletic Conference preseason coaches poll, the league announced yesterday (Aug. 12).

Oklahoma City University, winners of the past three SAC regular season titles, received the maximum 10 first-place votes to make it four straight championships this year.  Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own school.

University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma came in second, followed by Oklahoma Baptist University and John Brown University, who received the other first-place vote.

Texas Wesleyan University rounded out the top five, followed by MACU, Northwood University, Wayland Baptist University and St. Gregory's University.  Southwestern Assemblies of God University and Southwestern Christian University tied for 10th to round out the poll.

The Lady Evangels are set to kick off the 2013 campaign on Aug. 30 at home against Tabor College.
