Shawnee, Okla. -- Ailee Thompson scored two goals and dished out one assist to lead the third-seeded Oklahoma Baptist University Lady Bison to a 4-1 win over the Mid-America Christian University Lady Evangels in the quarterfinals of the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament tonight (Nov. 7) in Shawnee, Okla.

The Lady Bison wasted no time getting on the board, as Thompson assisted on a goal from Allie Preston just 30 seconds into the match.

OBU added two more goals in the half, with Thompson scoring in the 11th minute and Shelbie Shawn making it 3-0 at the 34:22 mark.

Cici Mitchell got the Lady Evangels on the scoreboard by scoring five minutes into the second, but that was all MACU could muster and Thompson finished the scoring with her second goal at the 87:27 mark.

The Lady Bison held a 20-13 edge in shots, but only 12-11 on-goal.

Kaitlyn Whitten made eight saves in the net for the Lady Evangels, while Emma Beck made 10 stops for OBU.

The Lady Evangels will now gear up for the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Central Regional Tournament, slated to be held Nov. 20-22.
