Kissimmee, Fla. -- The Mid-America Christian University Lady Evangels wrapped up the 2014 season with a 3-0 loss to the top-seeded Grace College Lady Lancers today (Dec. 3) at the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) National Tournament at the Austin-Tindall Soccer Complex in Kissimmee, Fla.

Mallory Rondeau scored the Lady Lancers' first two goals, with the first coming just 21 seconds into the match off an assist from Kaitlyn Hayes.

Rondeau then made it 2-0 in favor of the Lady Lancers with a goal at the 23:12 mark of the first half.

Kaitlan Wiles then put it away with a goal from Carianne Sobey on a cross from the right side in the 66th minute.

The Lady Evangels (13-8) mustered only one shot-on-goal and were out-shot 20-5 overall.

Kaitlyn Whitten made eight saves in the net for MACU, while Abby Schue stopped the only shot-on-goal she faced for the Lady Lancers (15-4-3).

With the conclusion of this season, the Lady Evangels appear stacked heading into the 2015 campaign.

Even though the loss of top-scorer Chelsea Swisher will sting, MACU expects the return of everyone else, including Cici Mitchell, Karla Cabello and Brianna Jezioro.  That trio combined for 28 goals and 15 assists this year.
