KANSAS CITY -- Four Mid-America Christian University Women's Soccer student-athletes have earned NAIA Scholar Athlete honors, the organization has released.

To qualify to be nominated by the school's head coach or Sports Information Director, a student-athlete must be at least a junior in academic standing with a minimum 3.5 grade-point average.

The women's soccer honorees are senior Chelsea Swisher and juniors Kayla Baldwin, Brianna Jezioro and Rachel Lynn.

Swisher, a Math/Business major, has a 3.8 GPA.  Baldwin also majors in Math/Business with a 4.0 GPA, while Jezioro has a 3.73 GPA in Elementary Education.  Lynn majors in Business/English with a 3.9 GPA.

All four student-athletes played a key role in helping the Lady Evangels capture the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Central Regional championship this season and advancing the NCCAA National Tournament for the first-time in school history.

The 13 wins this season are also the second-most for MACU as an NAIA school.
