OKLAHOMA CITY -- Chelsea Swisher recorded her fourth career hat trick to lead the Mid-America Christian University Lady Evangels to a 7-0 rout of the Texas College Steers today (Sept. 15) at MACU Soccer Field.

The victory moves the Lady Evangels to a perfect 5-0 start this season, continuing their best start since 2010 and their second-best start overall as an NAIA school.

Swisher wasted little time in getting to the hat trick, scoring three goals within the first 15 minutes of the match.

Her first score came just 1:38 into the contest off a corner kick assist from Cici Mitchell.

Mitchell then delivered another corner kick assist to Brianna Jezioro just four minutes later to make it 2-0.

It was again Mitchell delivering an assist on Swisher's third goal with a cross to the middle of the box at the 15:33 mark.

Mitchell then got into the scoring act with a goal at the 30:00 mark to give the Lady Evangels a 5-0 lead heading into the half.

Karla Cabello got in the scoring books in the 69th minute by blasting a shot in from 20 yards away that was followed by a score from Kaci Power five minutes later off a pass from the left side to the middle.

The Lady Evangels dominated the Steers to the tune of a 30-4 edge in shots overall and 18-2 on-goal.  Cabello had a match-high 10 shots to lead MACU.

Kaitlyn Whitten spent the first 45 minutes in the net for the Lady Evangels before being spelled by Taylor Files in the second half, who made two saves.

Michelle De La Garza stopped 11 shots for the Steers.

The Lady Evangels will look to remain unbeaten against Friends University Saturday afternoon (Sept. 20) at 2 p.m. (CST) at Dick's Sporting Good's Park in Commerce City, Colo.
