OKLAHOMA CITY – The Mid-America Christian University Lady Evangels notched their third shutout victory in their last four matches by blanking the Oklahoma City University Stars 1-0 today (Oct. 1) in a Sooner Athletic Conference contest at Evangel Field.

With the shutout win, MACU goalkeeper Madison Donihoo has now allowed only one goal in her last 419 minutes in the net.

The only score the Lady Evangels would need came by Cindy Ramos, when Ramos found the net from the right side following a corner kick at the 59:15 mark.

Donihoo made six saves for the Lady Evangels (4-4-1, 1-1 SAC), while Kirsten Thomas also recorded six stops for the Stars (3-6, 1-1 SAC).

The Lady Evangels held slim edges in both shots (10-9) and shots-on-goal (7-6).

Ramos and Angelica Ceballos each had two shots to lead the Lady Evangels.

After beginning the season 0-2, MACU is 4-2-1 in their past seven matches.

The Lady Evangels will next tangle with Texas Wesleyan University Tuesday evening (Oct. 4) at 5 p.m. in Ft. Worth, Texas.
