Donihoo Receives Third SAC Defensive Player of the Week Award

OKLAHOMA CITY – Mid-America Christian University freshman goalkeeper Madison Donihoo has received her third Sooner Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week honor, the league announced today (Oct. 17).

Donihoo continued her stellar play in the net by recording two more shutouts this past week, a 4-0 victory at Bacone College and then a 2-0 win over Wayland Baptist University.

In the win over WBU, Donihoo recorded 10 saves, just one off her career high. She now has a scoreless streak of 193:41 after a 329 minute scoreless streak earlier this season.

"Madison has done a great job in the goal for us and the backline has also been instrumental in our defensive efforts," MACU co-head coach Zach Bice said.

"I am really pleased with how well she has done stepping in as a freshman and owning the position."

The Mustang, Okla. native is currently second in the SAC in shutouts (six) and third in goals-against-average (1.07).

Donihoo and the Lady Evangels will next be in action tomorrow afternoon (Oct. 18) at Southwestern Assemblies of God University starting at 1 p.m. in Waxahachie, Texas.
